I Think I'd Better Think It Out Again
We had the benefit for New Breath last night, and the general consensus is that the production might not be as bad as I feared.
For one thing, the director evidently has permission to make significant changes in the score and script. For which I am grateful, for several reasons. Not least of which is that if I tried to sing a couple of my songs in the high tenor range in which they are written, you would have the opportunity to watch my head explode, right there onstage.
Which might be kind of cool for you, but it would more or less suck for me.
For another thing, there are some really talented people in the cast. I mean, REALLY talented people. I am not worthy.
So I guess it is safe for you all to come to the production, if you like. It probably won't kill you. Except possibly my performance. Did I mention that I'm not worthy?

We're rooting for you, Bren. Let us know where to find info on performance dates. We'd love to see you on stage again. Love your blog!!
I always look forward to hearing you sing, and you are most definitely worthy of singing with those people. Way better than, probably not, but worthy, yes. The best part is that after a time of learning (take advantage of that opportunity)from the talented cast members with whom you are now working you might be able to read a blog from a new cast member of a future show you are in and he will be telling all of his readers that he is not worthy to work with you. Well, I better try to post this note now. This is my first actual attempt "ever" to respond to a blog so I fear I may be sucked into some cyber black hole and sent back 1,000 years in time, and since computers didn't exist then I would have to wait until they were invented again to get back. IT COULD HAPPEN. Of course with a Ludite like me, the technology of 1,000 years ago may be right up my alley. Here goes nothing.
Give me the info and I'll try my best to come.
I'd come if I were a lot nearer!
too much humility sucks, Grasshopper.
you're up to the task!
